Anthony O’Hagan is a self-taught artist based in Maghera, County Derry. He is known for his contemporary landscapes with vivid red skies and signature quirky sheep. His bold use of colour and modern interpretation of Irish landscapes makes for a striking statement piece. Anthony is happy to do personalised paintings of your house, area or landmark, in his distinctive style – developed over the last twenty years.
As well as large original paintings, Anthony offers a range of prints and small originals, which he personalises by putting anything the customer wants in the signposts. He works effortlessly with customers to add their personal touch to the painting which has resulted in some unique canvases.
Anthony’s work has been displayed in many galleries and art fairs in Northern Ireland and he is hoping to expand that to the whole of Ireland and worldwide. He is the nominated visual artist for this year’s “Gig N’ The Bann” Festival, which includes a solo exhibition and poster.
“Yes – It’s Irish” 2018 is Anthony’s first Trade Fair in which he hopes to showcase a large range of prints of both Northern and Southern Ireland as well as small originals, postcards and other merchandise perfect for gift shops.
