Glynn Miskimmin of Enchante is extremely optimistic about the coming selling season and excited about the Autumn Gift & Home Fair. ‘’We have just had a tremendous response to the recent trade week in our own showrooms and saw a significant upturn in sales as a result of it. You can really detect an air of optimism and confidence on the part of buyers. Yes you do have to work a lot harder for your piece of the market place but it is evident to see the wholesalers and retailers who are doing just that.
“We have tried to diversify for the Spring/Summer to give our customers something new and fresh and a little different from the country style giftware that we are recognised for and are almost sold through on the new glass, metal and stoneware collections.
“Being a predominately Christmas company, our focus and concentration has been on the festive season from the beginning of the year and we have been totally inspired by our customer comments regarding their sell through on our products last year, and their kind words about our new collections. They are the people that matter and who we have to listen to, to get it right.
“We are certainly looking forward to meeting our existing and new customers at the forthcoming Autumn Gift & Home Fair at Citywest which is now regarded as a premier buying opportunity for retailers. It gets better year on year.”
